Olympic Park Media Centre

MacLennan were engaged by Prestige Air to help design and install a waterproofing system which would also work as a gas membrane. Prestige Air and MacLennan installed the system for Carillion construction.

Shore Road Poole Dorset

A large basement under a luxury property in Poole Dorset.

There was a stream running through the site to the sea. The waterproofing was designed by Maclennan and covered by Maclennan PI and Products Insurance. To comply with BS 8102 the ground had to be drained by means of land drainage. The outside of the building was protected with Grace Procure and Maclennan  Geo Drain installed over the walls and draining to land drains at the toe of the footing.

Rivermead House

Upton Lovell

The client was refurbishing this very large country house. The cellars flooded to 600mm deep every year. The Maclennan qualified surveyor proposed the use of the Maclennan Cavity Membrane system and drainage to sumps and pumps.

Waterproofing An Existing Basement

MacLennan designed and installed the waterproofing system to convert a damp basement into a useable dry space.
History
MacLennan were engaged by Acorn Construction to carry out a site survey and to specify the necessary work to provide a guaranteed dry habitable area in the basement of the house while retaining the existing floor finishes of brick.

Axemans Cottage

The cellar had been constructed and waterproofed 2-3 years before Maclennan were called in by the building contractor because there were problems with water ingress.

Wallis House

This is a stunning deco fronted listed building built between 1936 and 1942 and has been empty for years. It was owned by Glaxo Smith Kline, having formerly been an aircraft parts factory and then taken over by Beechams and then Barratt Homes.

Barley Moe Public house

This cellar in Salisbury was in The Barley Moe Public house which was being converted into two private houses. The cellar has a sump and appears to have flooded in the past.
