CP2: The control panel will operate and monitor the pumps. It will test the pumps and cycle the pumps so as they share duty. In the event of any test failure or pump failure the control panel will alarm. The panel can if required text to inform of alarm activation.
The control panel will require an electrical power supply which is to be supplied by others.
Battery Back Up: 1
The battery backup consists of a 1200W converter and leisure battery. The backup supply will in the event of a power cut run the pumps for a period of time, depending on the volume of water to be pumped.
The pumping system is not covered by the waterproofing guarantees. Pumps like most electrical items are covered by a one year manufacturers guarantee. The pumps are expected to work for 15 years.
Pumping systems should be maintained on a regular basis. The waterproofing system relies on the pumps, and the guarantees are subject to the pumps being maintained shortly after building works are complete and annually thereafter.
MacLennan will offer a maintenance agreement on completion of works.
